Crafting – Earring holder

So, ever since I left Peru (back in ’09) I’ve had the desire to have some way to hang up my jewelry so I could see it so I would use it. Mi amigocha got me into wearing jewelry and, since earrings were quite affordable, I started collecting. Then on Labor Day I saw something my younger cousin had made that helped me create something….um….not so perfect but functional. It could use some more work but I ran out of time….and hot glue!

The Idea: My cousin spray painted hers and used ‘S’ hooks to hang scarves and necklaces

My picture frame – decluttering helped me find it and get started!

I took the glass, mat and picture out.

Reuse! This is chicken wire from an old rabbit cage that I cleaned and trimmed (Sorry it’s blurry, I was taking pictures with my phone as I about forgot to document this!)
I used a staple gun to attached the wire (ran out of staples and the staples didn’t go all the way through so I had to hammer and make it work) then used a glue gun to attach ribbon so it wouldn’t rub the wall.

The product! I ended up using the backside as the front side so it didn’t sit against the wall. I’m still digging out earrings, but these are almost all my dangles. Yes, hung by color so I can quickly find them…Cool huh?

About Traveling Mosaic

I'm on a journey in this world, hence the "Traveling" part of the name. My life is also made up of pieces that, when the Master completes it, will be a beautiful Masterpiece, hence "Mosaic."
