Silence is….

…golden, some say. I suppose the busy mothers are ones that really appreciate some silence when they hear clamoring little voices constantly. Others prefer the silence and find it relaxing and rejuvenating. But if you think about it, although it’s quiet there is still noise – birds, wind, crickets, etc. Imagine if you were deaf and you heard nothing. Silence. Forever.

Honestly, that would be really hard for me and would probably drive me crazy. I enjoy hearing music, God’s creation, talking with friends and family. To never have that option – wow. Yet so many people live this way by no choice of their own.

Now imagine another kind of silence. A spiritual silence where you cannot read Scripture and all you might have is someone’s interpretation at best. Christ has made such an impact in my life, giving me joy, comfort, guidance….and yet to imagine not having that – wow. Yet approximately 350 million people have that silence and are waiting to hear God’s Word in their own language.

Now on top of the silence of not having access to Scripture because there is none, imagine being deaf on top of that so when the blessed day comes when you do have access you still have to wait because…….well…..watch this video and “listen” to their own words.

About Traveling Mosaic

I'm on a journey in this world, hence the "Traveling" part of the name. My life is also made up of pieces that, when the Master completes it, will be a beautiful Masterpiece, hence "Mosaic."
