Mexico – Highlights

Olga – I may eventually forget her name, then her face, but I’ll never forget the experience with her. She was the main singer at the first church we went to and while I was enjoying singing, I kept being drawn back to watching her. I seem to have an intuitive sense sometimes and something just seemed to say there was some frustration there. At the end of the service the whole team went up front to pray for people as they wanted. Being that I spoke Spanish, I broke away from the group and went around praying for different individuals. I saw Olga standing in the middle at the back of the church and looking at her something just said to go pray for her. So I did. She had two kids there that she asked me to pray for so I prayed for provision and spiritual growth but then started praying for joy and peace, repeatedly, in her life. It was guided by the Holy Spirit, I know that and I could tell she started crying. As I was praying, I sensed someone had come up next to us and opened my eyes just enough to see the feet of the pastor’s wife Anita next to us – just in time as Olga was “slain in the Spirit” and seemed to pass out and Anita gently laid her on the ground and then moved away. It was a slightly awkward moment as I wasn’t quite sure what had happened, but even though no one was noticing us I didn’t want to just leave Olga there still softly crying. So I squatted down and stroked her head as I reassured her that God’s peace was in her. It was a couple minutes before she got up and then hugged/clung to me for a little before moving to sit on the wall near the back of the church. My prayer during and before this time was for intimacy with God and to be used by him and He truly did that and flowed through me to minister to this woman.

Gabby – I met her on the first night and chatted with her. We probably chatted every night and had fun laughing at her son Adrian’s antics. It was special to get to know her and her offer of friendship to me was to braid my hair. 🙂

I’m not sure who I’m holding 🙂 but Gabby and Adrian are next to me.

Columpe! or swing 🙂

braided hair 🙂

About Traveling Mosaic

I'm on a journey in this world, hence the "Traveling" part of the name. My life is also made up of pieces that, when the Master completes it, will be a beautiful Masterpiece, hence "Mosaic."
