It’s a little different here…

I moved. Again. Four and a half months of travel continue. I’m hanging in there but, yes!, I’m ready to have a place to call home. This move was to a guest house closer to the area where we hope to live and this will be home until I go to Nairobi in two weeks.

It’s been interesting to see the difference between a motel in the US and one here. No computer reservation, but a date book. First, I was informed that while my friend and I can share a room with two beds, it is against policy to sleep in the same bed…or maybe he said sleep together. Absolutely not a problem but you do have to wonder how they control things once a door is shut?

Second, you know how a Gideon’s Bible normally awaits you in the nightstand in the US. Well…..I noticed the nightstand had a key so I opened it. (Security is always a nice find) No Sacred Text to find, instead I found on-the-house preventative measures of the “name brand” and generic form. Um….yeah. Not in “Kansas” anymore.

As for other differences, of goodness….after that last find I don’t think it matters any more. That took the cake.

About Traveling Mosaic

I'm on a journey in this world, hence the "Traveling" part of the name. My life is also made up of pieces that, when the Master completes it, will be a beautiful Masterpiece, hence "Mosaic."
